Bake-Off Rules:
The recipe must accompany the baked goods
All baked good must be made from scratch (no bakery purchases)
Baked goods cannot require refrigeration
Contest is open to amateurs only-no professionals
Baked goods must be dropped off to the American Legion Hall, 3255 Copley Rd, between the hours of 9:00am and 10:30 am.
Baked goods must be delivered in disposable/non-returnable containers
Judging will take place from 11:00am til noon. Winners will be announced at Copley Community Park at 1:45 pm
Baked goods and recipes will become the property of the Heritage Day Committee. The baked goods will be sold after the judging with the proceeds benefitting the Heritage Day Committee.
Judges reserve the right to discard foods not suitable for display or sale
Multiple entries are allowed. Each entry must have a separate entry form and recipe
Bakers may not be present during judging of entries
Contestants will be judged on appearance, texture and taste
Bake – Categories:
Cakes – cupcakes, layer cakes, sheet cakes, bundt cakes Pastries – pies, tarts, turnovers, strudel, and baklava Cookies – cutouts, drops, brownies, and tray bakes Quick breads – muffins, coffee cakes, pan breads (banana, zucchini, etc.), scones
